Advancing the Dialogue on Public Health, Data and Digital Transformation
Feb 17, 2026
In a time of growing challenges and systemic complexity, strengthening public health structures requires strategic planning, technical expertise and effective implementation. BRAINS Innovative Consulting Services actively contributes to this direction by supporting public-interest projects and reform initiatives, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health, always with a focus on the sustainability of the health system and the real needs of citizens.
This commitment was also reflected in our participation in Digital Health Week 2026 (ADHW 2026), held from 16 to 20 February 2026, a major forum dedicated to the digital transformation of healthcare in Greece and Europe. The event highlighted key developments around the European Health Data Space (EHDS), interoperability, and the design of health services in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
As part of the event, on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, BRAINS I.C.S. participated in the session: From Prevention to Knowledge: The Value of Primary and Secondary Public Health and Primary Care Data.
The session focused on the emergence of a new, structured health data chapter for Greece through national Public Health and Primary Health Care projects. It explored the value of these projects and datasets for scientific knowledge, real-world evidence, cost-effectiveness, and the development of policies, tools, solutions and services that strengthen Public Health, Primary Care and the wider health ecosystem.
With particular emphasis on the practical conditions required for implementation, the discussion demonstrated how health data can become a driver of reform, collaboration, research and innovative applications with measurable impact for both citizens and the health system.
The session was moderated by Nikos Ch. Iosif, Founder and CEO of BRAINS I.C.S., and featured Eirini Agapidaki as keynote speaker, alongside distinguished participants Niki Tsouma, Giorgos Morfoulis, Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, Kyriakos Souliotis, and Evangelos Oikonomou.
At BRAINS I.C.S., we believe that Public Health is not just another policy priority. It is a cornerstone of social cohesion and national resilience. Meaningful digital transformation in health must go beyond systems and applications; it must create real value, support institutions, empower professionals and improve the everyday experience of citizens.
We remain committed to building and supporting initiatives that turn health data into actionable knowledge, strengthen public health governance, and contribute to a more sustainable, interoperable and citizen-centered healthcare system.
We look forward to continuing this dialogue, exchanging experience, and building partnerships that bring real value to health data, and real impact to healthcare.
