Artificial Intelligence in the EHDS Era: Shaping the Future of European Healthcare

Brains ICS proudly participated in Athens Digital Health Week 2025, a landmark event that brought together visionaries, policymakers, and innovators to redefine the future of healthcare.
One of the most anticipated sessions of the week, the panel discussion on “Artificial Intelligence in the EHDS Era”, was hosted by the Human Health Intelligence Organization, partnering organizer of the conference. The panel underscored how AI will be central to the European Health Data Space (EHDS), empowering data-driven decision-making, improving patient outcomes, and fostering a new culture of trust and innovation in healthcare.
The session was opened by two distinguished keynote speakers: Irene Agapidaki, Alternate Minister of Health, Hellenic Republic and João Breda, Special Adviser to the WHO/Europe Regional Director, World Health Organization
Both emphasized the urgency of adopting forward-looking policies and robust governance frameworks that ensure safe, ethical, and impactful integration of AI into health systems.
