On May 7th, 2025, the Fortune Greece Network hosted the high-level forum “Health, Trust & Tech: Navigating the Future” at Panathenaea, bringing together business leaders, innovators, and healthcare experts to explore the digital transformation of health.

Digitalizing Health: Apps, AI, Wearables & the Future. The discussion focused on how Greece is undergoing a major transformation in its healthcare system. The key objectives of this transformation are:

  • Prevention

  • Personalized Care

  • Upgrading of Health Services through Digital Technologies

The shared vision is to build a health system that is more accessible, equitable, and effective for all citizens.

European Frameworks Shaping the Future. Panelists emphasized that Greece’s digital health journey must align with important European initiatives:

  • #NIS2 – imposing strict cybersecurity standards for critical infrastructure.

  • #EHDS (European Health Data Space) – ensuring the secure and interoperable use of health data.

  • #AI_Act – regulating the responsible use of artificial intelligence in sensitive sectors such as healthcare.

Together, these frameworks create the conditions for a trusted and innovative health ecosystem.

Iosif Nikolaos, CEO & Founder of BRAINS ICS, was invited to participate in the panel discussion, where he shared insights on the role of digital health solutions in reshaping public health. He highlighted Greece’s unique potential to become a pilot country for exportable digital health solutions, provided that there is a strategic plan, strong partnerships, and investment in human capital.

His contribution underscored the importance of turning the challenges of public health into opportunities for growth, extroversion, and social value creation, positioning Greece as a regional leader in digital innovation.
